The Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Development Project, supported by the World Bank, is being implemented recognizing the role of tourism in creating more job opportunities and alleviating poverty.

In the northern outskirts of Addis Ababa lays the Entoto Mountain (3200 m). It includes a wide array of remarkable natural and cultural assets ready to emerge as a new eco-tourism destination. The objective is developing the Entoto mountain and position it as a world class eco-friendly tourism destination.

The feasibility study has determined a development scenario based on the cultural and natural assets, low-impact facilities and an innovative public-private partnership.
