We are pleased to announce the successful final presentation of our tourism development project in The Gambia, led by Dr. Simon Woodward, alongside Lucy McCombes, Elisa Trapani and Adama Bah. The event, attended by H.E. Abdoulie Jobe, Minister of Tourism, attracted over 50 participants.
This marks the conclusion of an exciting assignment under the Tourism Diversification and Resilience in The Gambia Project, funded by the World Bank. The project began with a national assessment of over 60 potential destinations, followed by a prioritisation process and the development of architectural concepts for 10 key sites. Through site visits and consultations with local communities, we have helped lay the foundation for the development of these destinations, expected to boost economic growth and create jobs.
