The city of Djibouti has a Master Plan, prepared by Keios in 2012-2014, which sets out the main directions for its future development. However, the urban sprawl of the capital has led to an increase in slums, very dense and without access to basic services, in combination with urban poverty.

In the framework of the World Bank-funded Integrated Slums Upgrading Project, Keios has been hired to elaborate the development plan and the design of priority investments projects to upgrade the slums of Djaga Bouldhouq and Vietnam.
Activities will kick-off on the 13th of September 2021 in Djibouti-city.

Keios will be represented by Elisa Maceratini and Enrico Esposito.
