The general objective for the study is to provide the Jordan Valley Authority with an Integrated Master Plan to guide the development of the region in an efficient, balanced and sustainable way over the next 30 years.

The Wadi Araba Integrated Development Master Plan outlines a sustainable land use program with investment in agriculture, tourism and other economic sectors in a holistic way, determines investments needed to improve the quality of life of local communities, together with infrastructure required to support development, and ensures sustainability through environmental, social and economic assessments based on the principles of social progress, ecological balance and economic growth.
